# RustFS

> RustFS is an open-source, Apache 2.0-licensed distributed object storage system written in Rust. It provides an Amazon S3-compatible API for AI, cloud-native, and self-hosted workloads.

RustFS supports distributed deployment, erasure coding, data management, identity and access controls, encryption, observability, and multiple access protocols.
